Here are some of my favorites from last night:
Naomi Watts In Armani Privé. I love that she stepped outside the box a little but she can still see the box! Her accessories are perfect and don’t over power her fabulous gown.
Halle Berry was a vision in this glitzy but not over the top Versace gown. She made a statement with that dress and did it well with understated earrings and accessories to balance out the rest of the look!
I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw Daniel Day Lewis last night on the red carpet; this is what it is all about! He wore a well fitting tux and changed it up a little, perfect for the man of the hour to stand out a little! He is wearing Domenico Vacca.
Sandra Bullock was stunning in her Elie Saab Haute Couture gown; she knows how to keep it classy and beautiful!
Hot Hot Hot in his Gucci tux! Let’s be honest, he could wear a burlap sack and look hot, right ladies?!
Sally Field in Valentino; classic, gorgeous and age appropriate!
Some of my least favorites from the evening were:
I love Anne Hathaway, she is beautiful; but I was not a fan of her look last night. The back of this Prada dress is definitely better than the front but the look mostly reminds me of 90’s prom. Sorry, Anne, you are still fabulous though!
Helen Hunt wore H&M and to me it showed. There is nothing about this look that says Oscars to me.
I get what Jane Fonda was trying for in this canary yellow Versace look but to me it wasn’t accomplished. It looks truly 80’s as oppose to an updated 80’s look, if her hair had been different, it may have been a different story.
This Tony Ward dress doesn’t “look like” Kristin Chenoweth to me, which is where I feel she went wrong.
I feel as though this after party Giorgio Armani dress suits her much better and she looks stunning!
I respect it when people take chances on the red carpet, sometimes it works out in their favor and sometimes it doesn’t but at least they try! Fashion should be about trying new things and wearing different looks, there are too many great designs and designers out there not too! I am anxious to hear who made your best and worst dressed list, please comment below.
